BioLEAP Grant FAQs

Yes! We support teachers who are working to reduce classroom dissections, as well as those who want to completely replace the practice.

Yes! Studies show that students given learning assessments following humane anatomy labs perform just as well or better than their peers who completed dissections.

Check out our humane product catalog to see what products are available on the market. Searches can be narrowed by animal type, grade level, and format to help you find the perfect match.

Although students may not apply, they are encouraged to share information about our grant with their teachers to help make their case for the right not to dissect.

Many models provide hands-on experience, including synthetic specimens that allow students to cut into them with a scalpel just like they would in traditional dissection.

Yes! We value ongoing relationships with our former grantees.

Is funding a barrier to securing humane anatomy models for your school?

Let BioLEAP help cover the cost! Unlike animal specimens, which must be purchased year after year, many humane anatomy models are reusable, meaning that a single grant can fund your anatomy lab for years to come.
